The Quality Presentation

While this article in the Harvard Business Journal is a restatement of what we know to be true when presenting to senior executives, it’s a good reminder of a few important things:

  1. The need for preparation before we present (even though we’ve spent weeks and sometimes months creating the presentation and know it like the back of our hand)
  2. It’s always all about them, not us (even though we’ve spent weeks and sometimes month creating the presentation and it’s the best best idea we’ve come up with in our career)
  3. And finally, we as presenters and speakers are the ones responsible, not the listener, for making sure our message is clear, relevant, and understandable.
