Check it out. Once again, Mayo is leading the way with a commitment to using social media as a key communication strategy. We know 47% of patients use the Internet for medical information. Of those individuals, 66% research specific medical conditions and diseases; 55% research procedures and treatments. They research drugs and share information. And certainly — the younger the patient, the more likely they are using social media to learn and make health care decisions.
