International World Food Day is an event established by the Food & Agriculture Organization to increase awareness, understanding and informed year-round action to alleviate hunger. Since 2010, St. Louis has participated in World Food Day, packaging more than 800,000 rice/soy protein meals which were shipped to families and children in dire need in Tanzania. This year’s event is being held at John Burroughs School on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:00am until 7:00pm.
