Once Dovetail was awarded the St. Louis Lambert International Airport contract in February, the agency swung into action with the marketing, promotion and project management of the 3rd Annual Business Diversity Forum that took place on March 31, 2017.
The theme for the half-day event was “Connecting Diversity to New Heights,” and offered participants roundtable discussions, time for networking, and a keynote speaker highlighting national business opportunities in the aviation industry. Awards were presented to several companies for their diversity performance. Dovetail developed the new look and feel for the marketing materials inspired by the new Airport logo and color palette.
Dovetail ramped up immediately and worked in partnership with Ollie Dowell, President of Ollie Dowell Communications as well as Amber Gooding, Assistant Airport Director Community Programs and Business Diversity and her team.
The promotional plan included email-driven communication to invite guests and promote the forum at strategic intervals prior to the event. In addition, a landing page was developed to highlight the day’s agenda, keynote speaker and to capture registrations.
This year’s Business Diversity Forum attracted a record crowd of 450 attendees. The atmosphere was abuzz as minority and women business owners used the networking breakfast to connect with prime contractors and key airport decision-makers. Throughout the Concourse B event space of Terminal 1, the promotional materials helped set the stage for this popular professional networking event.
Streamlined consistency among all of the promotional materials helped contribute to the success of the event and continued the look and feel of the email strategy. A follow-up survey was conducted to measure the impact of the event and to learn how to make this event even more successful in 2018.
