Missouri National Parks

Passport Challenge

To help celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th Anniversary, the Gateway Arch (Jefferson National Expansion Memorial) wanted to unite the parks in the state of Missouri to encourage awareness of and visitation to our Missouri national parks.

Dovetail created the Show-Me National Parks Passport Challenge, visiting all six parks to introduce the idea and encourage staff excitement across the state. Working with staff at each park, we gathered imagery, stories and content to help deliver on the NPS’ centennial mission to ensure the National Park Service “is relevant to all Americans and engaging the next generation.” Dovetail created a website, the passport, stamping stations, stamps, videos, prizes and more to make the program appealing and engaging for its 18-month duration.

The program kicked off with Superintendents’ Night at Busch Stadium, and passports have been flying out of the stamping stations since.
